Since 1959 The Second City has established itself as a Chicago landmark and national treasure offering nightly comedy shows, as well as a variety of other programs and services. Known as the world's premier comedy theatre, each night we showcase the city's brighest talents in our hilarious original productions. Presenting hilarious scenes, songs and razor-sharp improvization, The Second City serves as a launching pad for some of the world's most beloved stars, making Second City a true Chicago tradition.

The audience will experience non-stop laughter and pure entertainment within the 2-hour show filled with short scenes, songs, and improvisations ranging anywhere from 10 seconds to 10 minutes long. The sketch comedy runs 7 nights a week, featuring a variety of original and hilarious comedy!

Come experience the fun with Cabaret-style seating, dining and a full bar. The show is considered rated-R and minors should be accompanied by an adult.

From 90/94, take the North Ave exit east a few miles to Wells St and make a left. From Lake Shore Dr, take the North Ave/LaSalle exit. Follow LaSalle around until you hit North Ave. Make a right on North, then make a right on Wells. The Second City is a short cab ride from downtown and is two blocks east of the Brown Line Sedgwick stop on the El.
